The challenge
eyko, an end-to-end data analytics platform, needed a new brand identity that would better reflect both their revolutionary offering and present them as a more more mature presence in the marketplace.
Through workshops and discovery sessions we landed on the fact that—at its heart—eyko offers key decision-makers the reassurance that they are making the right decisions, based on the right information.
And when you’re making calls that can affect millions of dollars, or thousands of jobs, this is important.
Coupled with this was the fact that existing solutions on the marketplace don’t address this, and can leave decision-makers in a hellish position of being unsure and uncertain.
We decided that this was the real story that needed to be told through the brand’s new identity.
The strength of certainty that comes with having relevant information, compiled in a usable format, is a formidable asset to any business. In short; eyko offers the power of knowing.

The response
We first worked with the eyko team on their brand strategy, agreeing that they wanted to both challenge the incumbent way of working and promote their solution as the definitive answer to a whole host of problems faced by their clients.
The brand identity that was created off the back of this story was purposefully designed to have standout among a sea of safe, passive analytics platform brands that all talked about their own tech, but didn’t offer much by way of something for their intended audiences to get excited by.
This story helped flesh out the core of what eyko does. It simplifies the complex, takes away lots of pain and stress, and genuinely makes a positive impact on the working lives of millions of people.
Every prospective eyko customer has a notion of what ‘data hell’ is to them – be it a beleaguered end user trying to compile a report from a multitude of confusing data sources, or a C-suite executive trying to make important decisions based on untrustworthy and outdated insights. By addressing this head-on, and introducing eyko as a champion of certainty, we created an identity that puts eyko as the only real solution.

In terms of creating the brand identity, we first audited the existing assets to see what had equity – what could be built on and what could be reimagined or dismissed.
The logo design was an abstraction of the “complexity to simplicity” idea that we had discussed with eyko throughout the process. We went through multiple iterations before settling on something that felt iconic and timeless.
We retained the brand orange, and tweaked the rest of the colour palette to offer better standout in a mass of corporate blue competitors. We also utilised a wonderful modern serif in Chroma Sans for brand headlines, giving the brand some real impact in busy spaces.
All of this, coupled with a comprehensive key messaging framework, guidance on art direction for photography and a clear set of brand guidelines (delivered as a mini-website for version control purposes) has set eyko on the road to becoming the definitive data analytics platform.

The results
The resulting brand identity included both guidance on deploying the visual assets for the brand and a key messaging framework that allowed the various teams to quickly and effectively speak to the needs of their audience.
The entire brand identity was codified on a Standards.site web environment, giving the eyko team (and any external suppliers) access to the guidelines anywhere with an internet connection.
The eyko team was delighted with the results and began rolling out the new identity in early 2025.
What truly stood out was Steve’s capacity to work seamlessly at both the granular and strategic levels. This dual perspective gave us the confidence to not only embrace the bold new creative direction but also execute the implementation swiftly and effectively.
Steve’s contributions were pivotal in shaping eyko’s new identity, and I can’t recommend him highly enough for any organization looking for a creative leader who delivers both vision and results
